Three people are dead following a weekend crash in Kentucky along Interstate 75. Reports indicate that the driver of a pickup truck attempted to change lanes when he or she sideswiped an SUV carrying four people. Both vehicles flipped several times as a result of the impact.
Three people in the SUV were killed in the car accident. A fourth passenger was injured. Two people in the pickup truck were also injured in the crash.
A crash like this is an example that life can change in an instant. A regular weekend night turned to tragedy in a split second.
A car accident can be devastating. People who are injured in car accidents may be forced to endure multiple surgeries and painful rehabilitation. Family members who lose a loved one in an accident may be left wondering how to carry on.
Fortunately, car accident victims and their families may be able to pursue legal action in the form of a civil lawsuit against any negligent parties. When drivers are reckless and inattentive, they should be held responsible.
Money that is obtained through a civil lawsuit may be used to cover medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering and loss of companionship.
Car accidents are a common occurrence in Kentucky and beyond. However, their frequency does not make them any less devastating. Drivers must follow traffic laws, remain attentive and do all that they can to prevent accidents.
Covington residents who have been injured in an accident or family members who have lost a loved one would be wise to consult with an experienced attorney. An attorney will examine the evidence in a case and work hard to get victims the money they deserve.
